Senator Woelfel moved to amend the bill on page 4, section 4, line 66, after the word "child" by inserting the words "attending a public school or state-regulated child care center";

On page 4, section 4, line 68, after the word "child's" by inserting the word "public";

On page 4, section 4, after line 71, by inserting a new subsection, designated subsection (i), to read as follows:

(i) A private or parochial school, as well as a state-regulated child care center that is operated by a private or parochial school or by a religious institution, may develop a policy allowing a child attending the private school, parochial school, or state-regulated child care center to be exempted from the mandatory vaccination requirements of this section on the basis of conflicts with religious or philosophical beliefs of the parents or legal guardians of the child, or of the child him or herself if legally emancipated. No private school, parochial school, or state-regulated child care center that is operated by a private or parochial school or by a religious institution, nor any administrator, employee, board, owner, or operator of such school or child care center, shall be subject to civil liability for exercising the discretion afforded by this subsection to develop, or not develop, a policy allowing religious or philosophical exemptions.;
